snacking on strawberries

It's about that time again where all things non-school related get pushed to the bottom of my ever-growing "to-do" list, all due to the dreadful finals week, or two weeks in my case! This includes, but is not limited to, laundry, cleaning, sleeping, watching TV, and testing out recipes. (I have been sneaking in some time to actually write up recipes, though. But we just won't tell anyone that.) It really is such a tease. I want nothing more than to throw on an apron and get-to-cookin'. Such is life, though!

Anyway, let's get to talking about these monstrous strawberries that I had today. They were sweet, juicy, bright red, and huge!! I had to take some quick snap-shots of these beauties.

I took plain, fat-free Greek yogurt and added some raw organic agave nectar for a touch of sweetness. Perfect snack to have before heading back to the books!

I also thought I'd share some photos I took on Earth Day, since I didn't have time to post them on Sunday. :)

This is right down the street from my house. There is also a garden, which I think belongs to the neighbors across the street from it, and a nice nature trail right behind it. I definitely wanted to take some photos of that as well because I haven't been over there in a while, but I didn't get a chance to. Maybe tomorrow afternoon I will take a walk over there. :)

my little garden

love these flowers, they're always so bright
sunflowers

turnips, bell peppers, tomatoes

I plan on writing a post about the progression of my garden and how much these little guys have grown. I feel like a proud mom, haha. Stay tuned for it!
